A good BBQ rub transforms a plain chicken breast into something special. This blend of smoky, sweet, and savory spices creates a beautiful crust on the outside while keeping the meat juicy and tender. It takes just a few minutes to season and about 25 minutes in the oven.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tbsp BBQ seasoning
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- ½ tsp garlic granules
- ½ tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp Redmond Real Salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

Directions
- Preheat oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment.
- Mix the BBQ seasoning, smoked paprika, garlic granules, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Rub the chicken breasts with olive oil, then coat with the spice blend.
- Bake for 22 to 25 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Notes
- The BBQ Seasoning already contains salt, so taste before adding extra. You may not need as much.
- Pound the chicken to even thickness before seasoning for more even cooking.
- Slice and use for salads, rice bowls, or sandwiches throughout the week.
- Brush with a little honey during the last 5 minutes of baking for a sticky, sweet glaze.
