Some mornings you just want something simple and familiar. This cinnamon raisin oatmeal is that breakfast. Plump raisins, warm cinnamon, and a touch of brown sugar make it feel like a warm hug. It takes less than 10 minutes and never disappoints.
Ingredients
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 2 cups water
- ¼ cup thompson raisins
- 1 tsp Ceylon cinnamon
- 1 tbsp light brown cane sugar
- 1 tbsp butter
- Pinch of Redmond Real Salt

Directions
- Bring the water to a boil in a small saucepan. Stir in the oats, raisins, cinnamon, and salt.
- Reduce heat to medium-low and cook for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the oats are soft and the raisins are plump.
- Remove from heat and stir in the brown sugar and butter.
- Serve immediately with a splash of milk if desired.
Notes
- Swap the raisins for dried cranberries or chopped dried apricots for a different fruit flavor.
- Top with chopped walnuts or pecan halves for some crunch.
