Dark Chocolate Cranberry Overnight Oats

If you think overnight oats are boring, this combination will change your mind. Cacao powder brings deep chocolate flavor while dried cranberries add a sweet-tart pop in every bite. It is indulgent enough to look forward to and clean enough to feel great about.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup milk of choice
  • ⅓ cup plain whole-milk yogurt
  • 2 tbsp cacao powder
  • 2 tbsp Duck River honey
  • 1 tbsp whole black chia seeds
  • ¼ cup dried cranberries (apple juice infused)
  • Pinch of Redmond Real Salt
  • Toppings: cacao nibs, sliced blanched almonds, fresh berries

*Bolded ingredients are products we typically carry at Tare Bulk Foods.

Directions

  1. Whisk the cacao powder into the milk until smooth, then combine with the oats, yogurt, honey, chia seeds, cranberries, and salt.
  2. Stir well, cover, and refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight.
  3. In the morning, stir and adjust thickness with a splash of milk if needed.
  4. Top with cacao nibs, sliced almonds, and fresh berries.

Notes

  • For a fully vegan version, use coconut yogurt and plant milk.
  • The cranberries get softer and more jammy over time. These store well in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • Try swapping the cacao powder for cocoa powder if you prefer a milder chocolate flavor.
