Every kitchen needs a go-to seasoning blend that works on practically anything. This one combines savory garlic and onion with smoky paprika, earthy cumin, and a good hit of black pepper. Mix up a jar in five minutes and reach for it all week long. It is great on roasted vegetables, grilled meats, eggs, popcorn, and anywhere you want simple food to taste better.
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp garlic powder
- 2 tbsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika powder
- 1 tbsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp Redmond Real Salt
- 2 tsp cumin

Directions
- Measure all of the spices into a small bowl.
- Whisk together until evenly combined. Break up any clumps with the back of a spoon.
- Transfer to a clean spice jar or small mason jar. Seal tightly.
- Label the jar and store in a cool, dark place.
Notes
- This blend keeps its full flavor for about 3 to 4 months. After that, the spices start to fade, so make smaller batches more often.
- Add 1 tsp of cayenne if you like a little heat.
- Try mixing in oregano or thyme for an herby variation that works especially well on roasted chicken.
- Double or triple the recipe if you go through seasonings quickly.
