Garlic Butter Chicken Drumsticks

Chicken drumsticks are one of the most affordable and flavorful cuts you can buy. Roasted with garlic butter and simple herbs, the skin turns crispy and golden while the meat stays incredibly juicy. Kids love picking them up and eating with their hands, and adults love the flavor. Win-win.

Ingredients

  • 8 chicken drumsticks
  • 3 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic granules
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp thyme
  • 1 tsp Redmond Real Salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Pat the drumsticks dry. Whisk together the melted butter, olive oil, garlic granules, paprika, onion powder, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  3. Toss the drumsticks in the butter mixture until evenly coated.
  4. Arrange in a single layer on the baking sheet.
  5. Roast for 35 to 40 minutes, flipping once at the halfway point, until the skin is golden and the internal temperature reaches 165°F.

Notes

  • For extra crispy skin, set the oven to broil for the last 2 minutes of cooking to crisp the skin. Watch carefully to avoid burning.
  • Serve with roasted vegetables, rice, or a simple salad.
