Ginger Turmeric Wellness Tea

This golden wellness tea combines the anti-inflammatory power of turmeric with the warming digestive benefits of ginger. It's naturally caffeine-free and perfect for sipping throughout the day or as an evening ritual.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, sliced (or 1 teaspoon Ginger)
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ceylon Cinnamon
  • Pinch of Black Pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Duck River Honey
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 Cinnamon Sticks (Korintje) for stirring

Directions

  1. In a small saucepan, bring water to a boil. Add fresh ginger slices and reduce heat to simmer for 8 minutes.
  2. Whisk in turmeric, cinnamon, and black pepper. Simmer for another 2 minutes.
  3. Strain tea into mugs, discarding solids.
  4. Stir in honey and lemon juice to taste.
  5. Serve hot with a cinnamon stick for stirring.

Notes

  • Add a pinch of Cardamom (ground) for extra warmth.
  • Substitute TN Maple Syrup for honey if desired.
  • Make a larger batch and store in refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat as needed.
  • The black pepper helps with turmeric absorption.
