Maple Walnut Overnight Steel Cut Oats

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Steel Cut Oats
  • 4 cups water
  • 1/2 teaspoon Redmond Real Salt
  • 1/3 cup TN Maple Syrup
  • 1 cup Walnuts, roughly chopped
  • 2 teaspoons Ceylon Cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Directions

  1. Combine steel cut oats, water, and salt in a large bowl. Cover and refrigerate overnight, at least 8 hours.
  2. In the morning, stir in maple syrup, chopped walnuts, cinnamon, and vanilla extract.
  3. Divide among serving bowls and enjoy cold, or warm gently in microwave if preferred.

Notes

  • Toast the Walnuts in a dry skillet for 3-4 minutes for extra flavor
  • Substitute Pecan Halves or Almonds for different nut varieties
