There is something incredibly cozy about a cup of orange spice tea with a cinnamon stick steeping right in the mug. The tea already has warm citrus and spice notes, and the cinnamon stick adds an extra layer of depth. A drizzle of honey pulls it all together into a simple cup that feels like a hug.
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp orange spice black tea
- 1 cinnamon sticks (Korintje)
- 1 1/2 cups boiling water
- 1 tbsp Duck River honey
*Bolded ingredients are products we typically carry at Tare Bulk Foods.
Directions
- Place the orange spice tea and cinnamon stick in a teapot or large mug.
- Pour the boiling water over the tea and cinnamon stick.
- Steep for 4 to 5 minutes, then strain out the loose tea leaves. You can leave the cinnamon stick in the mug.
- Stir in the honey and enjoy warm.
Notes
- For iced orange spice tea, brew double-strength, cool, and pour over ice.
- A small squeeze of fresh orange juice before serving brightens the whole cup.
- Try this with Earl Grey black tea for a more bergamot-forward citrus flavor.
