Sesame Crusted Pork Tenderloin

This elegant pork tenderloin gets coated in nutty sesame seeds and warm five spice for a dish that looks impressive but comes together easily on a weeknight.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds pork tenderloin, trimmed
  • 1/3 cup White Hulled Sesame Seeds
  • 2 tablespoons Avocado Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Chinese Five Spice
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon Redmond Real Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper

*Bolded ingredients are products we typically carry at Tare Bulk Foods.

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F. Pat pork tenderloin dry and brush all sides with avocado oil.
  2. Combine sesame seeds, five spice, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper in a shallow dish. Roll pork in mixture, pressing gently to help coating adhere.
  3. Heat an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear pork on all sides until golden, about 6-8 minutes total.
  4. Transfer skillet to oven and roast 12-15 minutes until internal temperature reaches 145°F. Rest 5 minutes before slicing.

Notes

  • Let pork rest after cooking to ensure juices redistribute for maximum tenderness.
  • Substitute Garam Masala seasoning for five spice for an Indian-inspired variation.
  • Serve sliced over rice with steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
