*Bolded ingredients are products we typically carry at Tare Bulk Foods.

Directions

  1. In a dry skillet over medium heat, toast sesame seeds for 3-4 minutes until golden and fragrant, stirring frequently.
  2. Transfer toasted seeds to a blender or food processor. Add olive oil, apple cider vinegar, coconut sugar, ginger root, garlic powder, salt, and cayenne.
  3. Blend until smooth and creamy, about 1-2 minutes. The mixture should be pourable but thick.
  4. Stir in nutritional yeast flakes and blend briefly to combine.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed. Use immediately or store in refrigerator.

Notes

  • For spicier sauce, increase Cayenne to 1/2 teaspoon.
  • Try Stir Fry Seasoning blend for additional Asian-inspired flavors.
  • Sauce keeps refrigerated for up to 2 weeks in a sealed container.
  • Thin with water or additional oil if sauce becomes too thick after storage.
