Smoked Paprika Sweet Potato Fries

Baked sweet potato fries that are actually crispy. The secret is cutting them thin, not overcrowding the pan, and using high heat. Smoked paprika adds a gorgeous color and a subtle smoky flavor that makes them irresistible. These are the fries that disappear before anything else on the plate.

Ingredients

  • 3 large sweet potatoes, cut into thin fries
  • 2 tbsp avocado oil
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp garlic granules
  • ½ tsp Redmond Real Salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

*Bolded ingredients are products we typically carry at Tare Bulk Foods.

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Toss the sweet potato fries with avocado oil, smoked paprika, garlic granules, salt, and pepper.
  3. Spread in a single layer across the two baking sheets. Do not overcrowd.
  4. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, flipping once at the halfway point, until crispy and golden at the edges.

Notes

  • Using two baking sheets prevents overcrowding, which is the number one reason fries come out soggy.
  • Avocado oil has a higher smoke point than olive oil, which helps with crispiness at high temperatures.
  • Serve with a side of honey mustard or a drizzle of maple syrup mixed with cayenne.
