Turmeric Ginger Wellness Tea

This golden elixir combines powerful anti-inflammatory spices into a soothing, healing beverage. The warm, earthy flavors create a comforting ritual perfect for daily wellness support.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ginger Root, dried
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ceylon Cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • Pinch of Cardamom
  • 1 tablespoon Duck River Honey
  • 1 tablespoon coconut milk (optional)

Directions

  1. In a small saucepan, bring water to a gentle boil over medium heat.
  2. Add turmeric, ginger root, cinnamon, black pepper, and cardamom to the boiling water.
  3. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Strain the tea through a fine mesh strainer into two mugs.
  5. Stir honey into each mug while tea is still hot. Add coconut milk if using.

Notes

  • Black pepper helps increase turmeric absorption, so don't skip it.
  • Try TN Maple Syrup instead of honey for a different sweetness profile.
  • For convenience, make a larger batch and store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Fresh ginger can be substituted: use 1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger root.
