Turmeric Roasted Cauliflower

Turmeric gives this cauliflower a beautiful golden color and a warm, earthy flavor. Roasted at high heat, the florets get crispy and caramelized while staying tender inside. It is a simple side that looks impressive and tastes even better. Plus, turmeric is one of the most powerful anti-inflammatory spices you can eat.

Ingredients

  • 1 large head cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • ½ tsp garlic granules
  • ¼ tsp cayenne
  • ½ tsp Redmond Real Salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • Juice of half a lemon

*Bolded ingredients are products we typically carry at Tare Bulk Foods.

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F. Toss the cauliflower florets with olive oil, turmeric, cumin, garlic granules, cayenne, salt, and pepper.
  2. Spread in a single layer on a lined baking sheet.
  3. Roast for 25 to 30 minutes until golden and crispy at the edges.
  4. Squeeze lemon juice over the top before serving.

Notes

  • The black pepper helps your body absorb the beneficial compounds in turmeric.
  • Drizzle with tahini for a creamy, nutty finish.
  • This works as a warm side or cooled down as part of a grain bowl.
